The cost of electricity up to a maximum of 3.5% of the total cost of your holiday is
included e.g. if your holiday costs £1000 then electricity usage up to £35 is included.
The table below shows typical usage by guests over the last year.

Electricity is used for cooking and heating in the cottages. A combination of night storage heating and
limited duration use of convection heating is more than adequate to create a
very warm temperature within the cottage even when the weather is below freezing
outside.
All cottages have an energy monitor
display which enables guests to monitor their electricity usage.
As part of our overall green policy we believe it is important that guests
understand their use of electricity (and thus its effect on the environment) and
those that keep within the 3.5% of the cottage rental cost (the majority of guests) benefit from no payment. Those that leave
heating full on and then leave windows and doors open may incur a charge! LogsLogs for the wood burning stoves are provided within the price of your holiday however excessive use of the fire (more than 1 basket of logs/day, which is more than sufficient to heat the living room for an evening) will incur a fixed charge of £12 for the week. |
